PTM application interface

The PTM movie catalogue and category-browsing interface.

Overview

What I set out to build

PTM presents Telugu movie content through browsable categories and focused title information. The project was used to practice connecting a React interface to content managed outside the application.

Challenge

The product problem

The interface needed to turn externally managed movie content into a simple discovery journey without embedding all content directly in frontend code.

Approach

How I approached it

I modeled and retrieved content through Prismic, used GraphQL for the data layer, and rendered reusable movie views in React. Categories and detail actions provide the primary way through the catalogue.

Delivered

Core experience

  • Category-led movie discovery
  • Externally managed movie content
  • Reusable catalogue and detail presentation
  • Responsive navigation across the collection

Technical decisions

Implementation choices

  • 01Used a headless CMS so content could be managed independently from interface code.
  • 02Used GraphQL to request the movie content required by each view.
  • 03Built reusable React presentation patterns for catalogue items and movie details.

Technologies

  • React
  • GraphQL
  • Prismic
  • Netlify
